MICROSOFT EXPRESSION ENCODER 4 SCREEN CAPTURE PRO UPGRADETo stream with this method, viewers would need the Pro version of Expression Encoder 4, Lang said, and would have to upgrade it to Service Pack 1,available from the Microsoft Download Center. The stream uses adaptive bitrate technology for smooth playback over any connection. Through the hour-long webinar, Lang guided viewers through setting up Expression Encoder to use Smooth Streaming for live events, in a way that would play back on iOS mobile devices, as well. The event, titled "Establish a Workflow for Live Smooth Streaming with Expression Encoder and IIS," was held live on and moderated by Streaming Media's executive vice president Dan Rayburn. They may have discontinued adding features but it is available and does a great job of screen capture and video encoding for free.Microsoft Teaches Expression Encoder Live Streaming in Webinarįor those looking to offer live video online, Jamie Lang, a program manager for Microsoft Expression Encoder conducted a thorough master class on the subject on Thursday, March 31. *note: It IS still available from Microsoft and works perfect with Windows 8.1. Also seems to work fine on Windows 7/8/8.1, haven't used on Vista or XP. It really is awesome and free (for non-Pro version). MICROSOFT EXPRESSION ENCODER 4 SCREEN CAPTURE PRO HOW TOI use this program exclusively for making How To videos and tutorials for the business I work for. The free version is like the Pro of other screen capture products in my opinion. I didn't need any of these for my projects. The Pro version comes with a few more bells and whistles. ![]() I believe that has been done away with recently for no limit. MICROSOFT EXPRESSION ENCODER 4 SCREEN CAPTURE PRO FULLThe last time I checked the free version was full feature but you had a 10 minute record time limit per video. Make sure when you download it that you get the whole program including Encoder, codec, screen capture. This is really a hidden gem of Microsoft that many people don't seem to know about. The encoder allows modification to the video and dubbing as well as output to many different video formats. The output quality is amazing and it does a good job of seeing within remote programs such as VNC on your PC. You can also capture by specific pixel settings. The screen capture is dynamic and allows you to select a custom region to record, or it can intuitively select an open window when you click on it. Thank partly because of Microsoft Expression Encoder 4. The non-profit was one of the two winners. I guess I had enough tweaks in the video and a strong script. On top this the video was being submitted for a contest for the non-profit to win some free technology. Fortunately I was able to edit a good bit of the noise out but, definitely learned a lesson that time. WOH I was wrrrooonnggg! You hear the Executive Director of the non-profit talking on top of what sounds like a 747 taking off. ![]() I did not think too much about it when I was filming, because I thought it would not come into the video that loud. I remember I was editing a video that I took a customers, and we were recording near a window and they landscapers where working outside. ![]() Downside was that there was not much you could edit to remove background noise. I especially liked that I could take parts of various videos and splice them together like they always belonged. Great piece of software that can allow even a novice with some basic understanding to be able to produce a quality video. ![]()
